Jakarta Cinema Club is in collaboration with Latin American countries via the embassy of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru in organizing the first Latin American Film Festival.

The opening will screen: LA NANA (THE MAID) from Chile (Drama - 2011, 1hr 55min)

Raquel, a sour and introverted woman, has been working as a nanny for the Valdés for 23 years, a large upper class family. One day, Pilar, her employer, hires another nanny to help her. Raquel, feeling her place in the family endangered, scares the newcomer with cruel and childish psychological abuse. This is repeated again and again until Lucy arrives, a smiling provincial woman, who manages to penetrate Raquel's breastplate and change her way of seeing life.

The film has received more than twenty international awards, including Sundance Festiva, the Colón de Oro at the Ibero-American Film Festival of Huelva, and was nominated for the Golden Globes in the best non-English language film category.
