Straddled between Europe and Asia, Turkey has been a crossroad of culture since ancient times.
Settled by humans since the Paleolithic era, this area was known as one of the oldest human settlement, started by the early Anatolians.
This is also the seat of various important kingdom and empire in history, e.g. Assyrian, Hittite, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman.
Else than its rich history, Turkey has become a popular tourist destination for the past several years, with Indonesian tourists mostly flocked to Cappadocia, Istanbul, and Ankara.
But other than that, what do you know about Turkey?
In the ninth Polyglot Indonesia Jakarta Chapter's Around the World meetup series, we would like to invite you to learn more about the culture of the people of Turkey!
In collaboration with Sekolah Kharisma Bangsa, we will also learn several simple and useful Turkish words and phrases!
